How to Use Line Items on Transactions?

Line items allows you to split a transaction into different amount and segments. Use line items to closely segregate a single transaction.

  1. Navigate to the Transactions section and Locate the transaction you wish to split into different line items

  2. Locate the Line Items section and Click on Add Line Item

  3. Here, you can add multiple line items that will help you split a transaction into different amounts and segments. You will be able to enter:

    • Item Name: Description for the split

    • Amount: How much is allocated for this split (Notice the Remaining Balance on top will be reduced when an amount is entered as seen below)

    • Accounting Details: This includes your segments and your ERP details

  4. To add another line item, scroll to the bottom and click on Add Item. You can add as many line items as needed to split the transaction details.

  5. When done, click on Save. Line items will be shown on the transaction page as follows:

  6. You have the ability to edit the details of a line or delete it by clicking on the checkbox next to it to show the actions

  7. If you delete a line, it will automatically create a line item with the remaining amount, which can be edited later to have the correct Item Name, amount and Accounting Details.

    • Deleted Line Item Show the remaining balance under Item Name "Other Items":

    • If you edit the "Other Items" line item, you will be prompted to enter the line item details again
