Starting 1st April 2026, you will not be able to authenticate your transactions using SMS or email OTPs due to a new Central Bank mandate.
So, before being able to approve a transaction on the mobile app, you'll first need to set your mobile device as trusted.

To set your first device as trusted, you can use the prompt (as can be seen in the image below) on your mobile device that shows immediately after after logging in. (If you don't see this, update your mobile app)
Then, follow the steps on the screen to set your device as trusted.
Then, set your Smart Pass pin.
Next, complete the verification of your mobile number and email address.
That's it. Your device is set as verified now. From 1st April 2026 onwards, you'll start to receive OTPs on the Qashio app present on this device.

Go to the settings tab of the mobile app. It's the 4th tab on the bottom right. Then, click on the "Security" section.
Then, click on "Set Pin & Trusted Device."
Then, follow the steps 2 to 5 from the above section.
Then, you can go back to the "Security" section, and click "Device History" to see your list of trusted devices.

If you have set a device as trusted, then after 31st March 2026, to authenticate transactions, you'll start to receive OTPs in the mobile app.
Here's how:
First, you'll receive a notification that you've received an OTP. Remember to keep your Qashio app notifications enabled.
Upon opening the Qashio app, you'll see the OTP notification on the home screen of the app. You'll also see the notification on the top.
On the clicking the notification, you'll see the OTP you can use to authenticate your transaction.
