Invoices: Why They're Required
Every Global Pay payment needs an invoice attached — it's a required step, not optional. To save you time, we automatically read the invoice and pre-fill as many payment fields as we can; you can always edit anything that needs adjusting.
One rule to keep in mind: your invoice currency must match your beneficiary's account currency. This makes sure the beneficiary can actually receive the payment as intended and helps avoid failed transactions — so if you're paying someone in EUR, your invoice should be in EUR too.
If you're adding an invoice for a brand-new beneficiary, you can still adjust their bank account country before submitting — just know that if it doesn't match where the payment is actually headed, the request is likely to be flagged during review.
